Contingent Worker #1294265 is an expression of wanting desperately to be treated like a human being by a corporation. It is Laura’s largest beaded work to date and is a self-portrait. The work was exhibited in a group show called Material Handling, curated by Tavarus Blackmonster in 2022. It was exhibited again in a group show called Food Chain at The Drawing Room.
